The 10 steps...to keep a cool head

There are only 9 steps listed here. Step #10 is for you to fill in!

1) Take a deep breath and then another. Then remember you are the adult

2) Close your eyes and imagine your hearing what your child is about to hear

3) Press your lips together and count to 10 or 20

4) Exercise to release your tension

5) Phone a friend

6) If someone can watch your child, go outside and take a walk

7) Take a hot bath or splash cold water on your face

8) Turn on some of your favorite music and maybe sing along

9) Drink a glass of cold water
